This was my first attempt at using a snoot to control the light coming out of a flash. I made a snoot out of a cut-up Cheerios box and stuck it over the flash head. The box restricted the cone of light, making it narrower than if I’d left the flash “unsnooted” (not sure if that’s actually a word 😉 The effect is of a little slice of light on just a portion of the picture, creating an eerie effect.
The guitar pick was thrown out by one of The Sword’s guitarists (I can’t remember which one) at the close of their show at FunFunFun Fest 2012; I was pressed up against the barricade and asked one of the bouncers to pick it up for me 🙂
