In my latest post at The Hardball Times, I used a popular machine learning technique to predict the two 2018 MVP’s. This year’s candidates may not be particularly controversial, but there is a bit of intrigue in the AL:
In the AL, seasons like the ones belonging to Mookie Betts and J.D. Martinez have high probabilities of winning the award. Betts had an historic all-around year and would be an excellent choice for the award. But don’t forget about Martinez, whose home run and RBI totals will get him more consideration than many might think.
